Navid joined the HELM team after starting and running a successful residential construction company with his father over the last 19 years. He has specialized in energy-efficient building in North Alabama and tailored each custom home based on client preferences - including insulated concrete forms, solar power, and geothermal. He has worn many hats including laborer, office manager, and project manager.

Navid studied Psychology in college and is passionate about teaching and social action. He is working to build an equitable and just culture in the construction industry and encouraging other entrepreneurs to do the same. Navid is an ultramarathoner and avid hiker and enjoys exploring all mountain ranges and traveling with his wife, two daughters, and dog Coconut. Navid serves on the Desegregation Action Committee for Huntsville City public schools, and he would like to learn more about aquaponics and start a sustainable farm.
