Architect / Designer

Garland Mill is hiring an experienced Architect / Designer for full-time employment starting in 2027.

Our ideal candidate is design forward, is comfortable doing production CAD, has strong communication skills, respectful manner, and is an engaged learner. The role will require participation in all project phases from pre-design to the end of construction. This position has flexibility for hybrid work.

Pay Range:
$27.37 – $41.49 per hour for Designer
$ 40.56 - $51.44 for licensed Architect

Job Type: Full-time

Required skills and experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an architectural office

• Proficient with ArchiCAD

• Understanding of building science, or a desire to learn the current techniques

• Effective communication with co-workers, tradespeople, and clients

• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, clients, and consultants simultaneously

• Experience with designing in wood construction

• Experience with residential interior design, evaluating/specifying materials and products

• Hybrid work-from-home options
