Building Healthy Cultures: Collaborative Leadership

Wednesday, September 17, 2025

2:30-4:30 PM EST

This 2-hour online workshop focuses on building collaborative leadership skills that harness the full potential of a team, strengthen social and cultural resilience, and lessen the pressure that leads to stress and burnout in the AEC industry. These skills support leaders to maintain their authority, not because they “know” the answer, but because they are able to "source" the best solution from the broad realm of resources available to them. In this role, leaders learn when they can facilitate rather than direct, and learn how they can fulfill their job responsibilities by inviting collaboration from the people on their teams.

As leaders, we are often taught that our role is to have answers. Not having those answers can feel vulnerable and can trigger a fear response that leads to added stress, poor decision-making, and weaker team dynamics. But, in reality, asking good questions (and finding the right people to include in the process) is often the key to effective problem-solving. Within this model, we want to recognize the feeling of vulnerability as a signal to invite collaboration and embrace the power of your team.

This workshop is designed for experienced and emerging leaders who seek to engage the full potential of their teams, both internally and including trade partners.
